Info for Djembe Alchemy students

Info for students

Welcome to Djembe Alchemy. We want your experience with us to be educational, engaging, uplifting and long lasting. We want to build a community of joyous drummers and dancers, that bounce off each other, bringing us all to higher vibrations and a happier general state of being. We thank you for joining us on the journey, it is humbling to have your support.

Throughout a term of classes (as opposed to other events such as workshops) we provide online resources to help you on your learning journey. It’s not essential to use Learning Hub in order to participate in our in-person classes, but it does help if you’re looking for clarification or you want to practice.  It also has an Induction and Getting Started guide to get you on the right foot.

Most of the information for students is posted into the Learning Hub and is first place you should check for information. If you can”t find what you’re looking for or you can’t access the Learning Hub, then please reach out to us either in class or by email to Djembe.Alchemy@outlook.com.

Further below is some information to get you started including guides to accessing and navigating the Learning Hub.

Your Support

We want to build our classes and build the community and would love for you to support us on that journey. At the bottom of this page in the “Posters and Marketing Resources” are some downloadable flyers. If you have a suitable noticeboard at work, school or other places, then we would be ever grateful if you could print one and post it up for us, or send them to friends. A vibrant African Drumming and Dance community can be a special and uplifting thing to be part of, and we need you to help us find other beautiful souls such as yourself to join us and make it so.

Getting Help

We are here for you as our student, fellow drummer and friend. No question is too simple or silly. If you need anything that can help your journey then please reach out, we’ve got you. Really anything from simple technique or rhythm questions, drum buying advice, anything, and we always appreciate open and honest feedback, suggestions and to know how you’re travelling with the classes. So please reach out.
